Message from the founder:

I was sexually molested from the age of eleven to fourteen and I turned to drugs to stop the pain. Fortunately I attended a residential treatment program and had counseling to help me heal my shame and guilt. I learned that it is NOT my fault, that I did not cause my sexual abuse. It is in finding my voice and speaking out about this trauma that I am reclaiming my power. Victims Get Vocal is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of sexual abuse speak out, because Victim's Who Get Vocal Become Survivors Who Stop Abuse. Please join me and transform any fear or shame you may feel into the power to help others. If you are currently being molested, please tell just one adult, that can make a huge difference. Reach out. You are not alone, we are with you.

Most molesters never get charged, go unpunished, and remain on the loose. According to the US Department of Justice, less than 5% of child molesters ever see the inside of a jail. Victims Get Vocal's mission is to strengthen children's rights so that a higher percentage of these crimes are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm dedicating this site to the memory of Ashley Billasano. Ashley did not get justice but she wanted her death to count for something and together we can make sure that it does.
